A Word on Words
The Bible has a lot to say about our tongues. Scripture says, “Out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks” (Luke 6:45). There are many ways to sin with our tongues. Some speak “idle words” (Matthew 12:36). They talk without substance, such that their speech is empty and fails to honor God or love others. Others are full of “foolish talk” (Ephesians 5:4).
