The prayer room at Morningview is a ministry designed to assist members in praying for one another. It has a system of keeping track of prayer requests and how God answers those requests over time. Our church covenant at Morningview commits us to pray for one another, and the prayer room is one way we can keep each other accountable to do that. Being involved in the prayer room will help you to know the needs of your brothers and sisters in Christ. It will also allow you to benefit from the blessing of how God answers prayer in our midst.
When you sign up, we will contact you with further information about how to access the prayer room (the door code) and get you information about how the prayer room works. We understand that everyone has different responsibilities; so, not everyone can give an hour each week to the prayer room.
Among the slots available, we have:
Tuesday 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Thursday 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Friday 11:00 am – 9:00 pm
Saturday 6:00 am – 9:00 pm

This past Saturday was an excellent time of ministry together in our community. We sent 13 different teams out into our community, and the results were amazing. Our two Grounds Teams served our Hands of Christ Center and 4 of our shut-ins. Our Light Construction Team helped Common Ground ministries with a building project. Our two Shepherd’s Staff teams painted and worked on home repairs for families in need. Our Senior Adults assembled over 100 hygiene kits as well as sorting and folding several hundred articles of clothing. Our Hands of Christ Repair Team helped Teri with some needed repairs at the Center. Our Children blessed 2 of our local nursing homes by singing great hymns of the faith. Our Friendship Mission Team served a meal to Montgomery’s homeless. Our two largest teams blanketed our community with 1000 tracts and invitations to our Easter service, and they engaged people with the Gospel at one of our local ball fields. And last, but never least, our Preschool Ministry Team took excellent care of our children so our parents could be out serving.
THANK YOU EVERYONE for your hard work, your dedication, and your faithfulness to reach out and touch the lives of others in the name of Christ. Here, you can see pictures from a few of our projects. Enjoy the pictures, and praise God for what he has done!

Our Toy Store is an awesome avenue God graciously provided in answer to my prayer 12 years ago, an avenue that paves the way to begin the healing process of the family unit. It helps restore the dignity and focus of the parents while aiding the children in regaining respect for them. It also teaches priorities and sacrifice. I pray you will join us in making a difference in the lives of many.
Toy delivery deadline is Thursday December 3rd. Toys may be delivered to the church or the Hands of Christ Ministry Center located at 3000 Lower Wetumpka Rd. We are open Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Should you have any questions or want to volunteer, please feel free to contact me by phone 262-6438 or by e-mail Chitownladee@hotmail.com.
I am so excited and looking forward to what God has in store for us.
Please keep us in your prayers as we continue throughout the year to minister to, meet needs and exhibit God’s love to all who enter our doors.
Praising Him

Each Sunday afternoon, a member of Morningview visits those people who visited our church for the first time that morning. They take a packet of information about Morningview and make a brief visit, letting those visitors know how glad we were they visited our church. Statistics have shown that the sooner folks are contacted after they visit a church, the more likely they are to return. We are in need of more people to volunteer to serve in this area. Flora Johnson coordinates this ministry, and you can contact her or Sarah Jones if you would like to be involved in this area.
