Wednesday Night children’s activities will take place from May 25th through June 29th for those who have completed Kindergarten through Sixth Grade.  During this 6 week period there will be special activities for this age group from 6:00-7:30.  All activities will start on the 2nd floor north in the children’s room and they may be picked there as well. For your child’s safety, please keep your child with you until 6:00.  Children four years and under may be taken to the nursery beginning at 5:50.

Your children will learn more about our missions partnership with Central Asia and Ecuador and about the missionaries serving there.  Register your children for this fun missions learning experience by calling the church office or in your Adult Sunday School class.

The children will have the opportunity to support their favorite college before the big game!  We would like for  them to wear their favorite team colors instead of their uniform for this one night only.  Awana will go on as usual with opening ceremony, handbook time, group time.  They will be given the opportunity to show their team spirit during game time.

Remember Awana will not meet the next week November 24th due to Thanksgiving.

Sign up your children to be a blessing to senior adults!  Bring them to the church at 8:00 am and we will begin to make gift bags for our senior adults. Around 9:30 we will depart to deliver our bags to the shut-ins and other senior adults.  We need adults to drive children in personal vehicles to each home or nursing home with at least 5 to 6 groups.  Each group will go to multiple places.  We will all return to the church by noon. **Permission slips will be sent to each child that signs up**

Please remember to make your supper reservations!  For this week only, supper will begin at 5:00 pm.  While you are finishing your meal, at 5:30 pm Awana Leadership will share important information in an effort to start off the new year smoothly.  Parents, if you cannot come to supper please try to be present for the meeting.  Our Awana Clubs will begin at 6:00 pm with Puggles and Cubbies going to the preschool hall, and Sparks and Truth in Training in the Chapel.

Journey of Faith for Children

August 1, 8, 15, & 22 from 5:00 – 6:15 pm in the Chapel
All four classes are necessary to complete the course, however arrangements can be made to make up any one of the four if necessary.

Sunday Evenings 5:00 – 6:15 pm

August 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd

The Journey of Faith Class is a four-week course designed for children who are interested in knowing what it means to be a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.  All curious children, K-6th grade, are invited!  This class is especially designed for children who think they have already come to faith in Christ and who are interested in seeking baptism and church membership.  It will help them come to a biblically grounded assurance of salvation.  The Journey of Faith class is prerequisite to any child’s baptism and membership.  We’re also asking that at least one parent attend the class with the child.  Please register for the course by calling the church office at 272-2304 by July 30.  Adult M.I.T. does not begin until September 19th.

As we gear up for another year in our children’s ministry, please consider your place of service.  With the increase of children in our church so goes the need for more adults to assist in the different ministries; Sunday School for Preschool and Children, Sunday Evening G321, and Awana on Wednesday nights.  You can contact Kem Holley in the office at 272-2304 or email kem.holley@morningview.org for more information.
