Congratulations to the following Morningview Baptist Church members who placed in the State History Day competition with Cornerstone Classical Christian Academy: Hannah Johnson, second place in Senior Performance and Andrew Graham, first place in Junior Paper. Hannah and Andrew along with eight other Cornerstone students will represent the State of Alabama at the national competition in June.
There will be a Community Information Meeting for Cornerstone on Tuesday, January 25 at 7:00 pm in the Church chapel. Come and learn about the benefits of a classical Christian education and the unique ministry of Cornerstone Classical Christian Academy.
Kevin Kelley is once again this year selling candles for $10.00. He has many fragrances and some special for this Christmas season. Some of the choices are: Christmas Splendor, Spiced Eggnog, Cookies for Santa, Frankincense & Myrrh, Coffee, Hazelnut and more. Samples are in the school office. If you place your order by this Friday, you will have the candles back before we leave on the 10th. These make great Christmas presents!
The Morningview congregation is invited to join us for our annual Veteran’s Day celebration on Thursday, November 11 at 9:00 in the church sanctuary. Our chapel program will include patriotic songs and recitations and a message from our speaker Lt. Col. Scott Arcuri, USAF.

Cornerstone Classical Christian Academy was formed in response to the vision of members of Morningview Baptist Church. For one year a founding committee faithfully met to pray and plan for the school’s beginning. In August 2005, the leadership of the school was given to the Board of Directors to govern and commence operations. The school enrolled its first students in the 2006 academic year. For the past four years Cornerstone has grown and is now registering students for kindergarten through twelfth grades. Our school has faithfully trained students in Biblical worldview thinking by presenting a sound academic program taught by qualified teachers. You are cordially invited to attend the information meeting on January 26 and learn about the benefits of classical education for your child.
