Accountability Questions
- Have you been faithfully trusting in the redeeming work of Christ and in His grace alone for your acceptance before God (Exod 20:2)?
- Have you treasured God’s greatness and goodness and have you been a witness of Him to others in both word and deed (Exod 20:3-7)?
- Have you been faithful to work hard in your vocation, to rest, and to attend church, all for the glory of God (Exod 20:8-11; Heb 10:25)?
- Have you honored your parents, church leaders, employers, state leaders, and other authorities in both word and deed (Exod 20:12; Heb 13:17; 1 Pet 2:18; Rom 13:1)?
- Have you been sinfully angry with another person, desired his harm, or spoken any unloving or hateful words either behind his back or to his face (Exod 20:13)?
- Have you viewed any sexually explicit material or have you dwelt on any lustful thoughts (Exod 20:14)?
- Have you spent time with your spouse and children, encouraged their growth in Christ, and have you loved them as Christ loves you, leading and encouraging them to worship the Lord (Eph 5:22-33)?
- Have you lacked integrity or been dishonest in any of your personal affairs or financial dealings (Exod 20:15)
- Have you given in to materialism or coveted anything that does not belong to you (Exod 20:15)?
- Have you been completely honest this week and in all your answers today (Exod 20:16)?
