The children will have the opportunity to support their favorite college before the big game! We would like for them to wear their favorite team colors instead of their uniform for this one night only. Awana will go on as usual with opening ceremony, handbook time, group time. They will be given the opportunity to show their team spirit during game time.

Please remember to make your supper reservations! For this week only, supper will begin at 5:00 pm. While you are finishing your meal, at 5:30 pm Awana Leadership will share important information in an effort to start off the new year smoothly. Parents, if you cannot come to supper please try to be present for the meeting. Our Awana Clubs will begin at 6:00 pm with Puggles and Cubbies going to the preschool hall, and Sparks and Truth in Training in the Chapel.

For veteran and first time teachers alike, important and necessary information as we gear up for the new year. Curriculum and a variety of useful items will be discussed.

Beginning June 30th, all children’s activities on Wednesday and Sunday evenings will be suspended until the end of summer. As we gear up for another year in our children’s ministry please consider your place of service. With the increase of children in our church so goes the need for more adults to assist in the different ministries, Sunday School for both Preschool and Children, Sunday Evening G321, Wednesday-Awana. This is our third year for Awana Clubs…it has been such a blessing to this church. All the children who have been involved have done a great job. Come and enjoy our closing ceremony in the Sanctuary with Cubbies, Sparks and Truth in Training on Wednesday, May 19th at 6:00 pm. Parents, Cubbies will need to go to their rooms on the Preschool Hall, Sparks and Truth in Training will meet on the 2nd floor North. Please have them in place by 5:45. Awana will not meet during the summer months. Our official kick-off date will be August 18th.
Hey Parents! Awana is supporting the Ecuador Pastors Conference by purchasing books. We would like to supply one set of books (approximately $120) to send with our Mission Team. The Sparks and Truth in Training are in a face-off to see who can raise $60. The motivation for this is the club that comes closest to reaching this goal or exceeds it will earn the privilege of going to the Awana Store first. Remind your children to bring their offering the next two weeks…thank you!
Parents please be reminded that Awana will not meet over the next two weeks. We will start back on January 6th at 6:00 p.m. Please encourage your children to review over these weeks. Speaking for the Awana leadership, Wednesday evenings are a time when we come together in support of your efforts to impress scriptures upon the hearts of your children that they may know Christ!
