Morningview Baptist Church exists to point all people to the one true God who gives eternal life to those who trust His Son. God does not exist to make much of us. We exist to make much of God! We invite you to join us in this life-giving pursuit!
Whether you have just begun this journey or are a well-traveled follower, the sovereign care of God is our rock and comfort, and the glory of God is our delight. We hope you will visit us and allow us to show you both the truth of His perfect Word and treasure of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Morningview Baptist Church is committed to the historic Christian faith once and for all delivered to the saints. Scripture alone teaches that God saves sinners by grace alone, through faith alone, because of Christ alone, all to the glory of God alone. “Salvation is of the Lord” (Jonah 2:9). In all we do, we seek to be God centered, Word driven, doctrinally defined, ecclesiologically accurate, and faithfully obedient to God’s commandments. We believe in the centrality of Christ, the primacy of the gospel, the importance of the local church, biblical worship, expository preaching, personal holiness, family discipleship, evangelism, and missions all to the glory of God.
This website is a wonderful way to get a thumbnail sketch of some of the elements of our church. The pastors and staff give leadership and vision to our congregation. Morningview’s mission statement verbalizes our focus. To get a glimpse of a typical week’s worth of opportunities, check out the weekly schedule. We are a Southern Baptist congregation as well as an active member of the Montgomery Baptist Association.
Seeing a church through a website is like looking into a house through a slit in the curtain. The best way to know Morningview is to visit. This map will give you directions right to the front door. Greeters are positioned by the entrances to help you find your way inside the building. And don’t forget what one person once said about visiting a church…you will never really know what that church is like until you go at least three times. Remember as you are looking for a church home, wherever you visit, give it three weeks!
