Prayer and Informational Guide
Our mission team members are preparing for our Ecuador trip this June. This will be our churches’ third year to partner with missionaries Steve and Carol Thompson in Patate, Ecuador. Our main purpose for our mission this year is to provide ‘theological training for area pastors’ and lead a three-day bible club for children in the city of Ambato. There are ways each of you can be involved. In short, you can pray, give or go. Use the guide below to learn more.
How can I pray for this team?
First, pray that God would give us a heart to see the Ecuadorian people as He does: lost and helpless without a Savior. Pray for our pastoral training group as we discern how to effectively train and equip Ecuadorian pastors. Pray for our all of us as we prepare to lead a three-day children’s Bible club, in Spanish. Pray that God would use the Bible stories and activities to clearly present the light of Christ’s love to these children and families. Pray for the opportunities our team will have to encourage Ecuadorian believers in their faith and for our many witnessing opportunities during the week. Pray for our safety during our travel and stay.
How can I give to support the team?
As a family or individual there are two ways you can give. One way is to give specifically to help fund our ‘theological training book packages’ for the pastors. A gift of $40 will help fund a ‘book package’ for each pastor we’ll train. We’ll need twenty (20) ‘book packages’ for the pastors involved.
Another way you can give is to help offset the participants total cost of $1500. Sunday school classes may want to collectively give towards this area. Discuss this with your family, small group or pray individually and ask how God may lead you to support the team. All donations need to be received by June 10th.

We are privileged to spend a week in Ecuador equipping God’s faithful pastors, sharing the gospel with children and families and assisting the work of the missionaries, Steve and Carol Thompson. Thank you, in advance, for your prayers and gift.
